Detroit Dark Red Beetroots are great sliced in salads or delicious on burgers. Whether they’re eaten hot or cold they are an easy variety to grow. An excellent flavoured dark-red root vegetable its very popular for both their delicious crimson roots and baby leaves. Plant in succession for a steady crop throughout the year. They can be boiled, sliced or grated raw and are highly nutritious.
Planting Advice
Keep well-watered. For crop continuity, sow at four to six week intervals and apply liquid fertiliser often. Suitable for deep-freezing. First harvest after approximately ten weeks.
